Love At First Bite Bakery started with a simple conviction: that the best bread requires the worst possible excuse for cutting corners. We source our flour from regional mills, ferment our dough long enough for flavor to actually develop, and fold our pastries the way your grandmother would have — by hand, with attention.

Located on Front Street in Millsboro, we are a neighborhood bakery first and a destination second. The people who walk in are our regulars, and the ones who walk out are carrying something made today, with nothing but real ingredients and enough time to do it right.

If we are out of something by noon, it is because we made it fresh that morning — not because we ran out of inventory. That is the trade-off we are happy to make.

The oven doesn't
negotiate. Neither
do we.

We believe that baking is a discipline, not a formula. A recipe is a starting point — the real work happens in the room temperature, the humidity, the quality of the butter, and the patience to let dough rest when it isn't ready to move on.

Everything we bake is made in small batches throughout the day. That means the bread you buy at 10 a.m. was mixed at 4 a.m. The pastries you get at noon were folded an hour before. We would rather sell out than sell stale.
